Prof (Dr.) Sita Prasad Tiwari is Vice Chancellor of Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Jabalpur, MP, India. He did his BVSc & AH form Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur (1981), MVSc (Animal Nutrition) from Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar (1983) and PhD (Animal Nutrition) from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar (1988).

Dr. Tiwari is a distinguished Animal Nutritionist and contributed significantly in the area of strategic supplementation, integrated farming system,  Bypass  protein technology,  Area  specific  Mineral mixture, Medicated urea molasses mineral blocks, Manufacture, validation and marketing of various Panchgavya products, Value addition of milk, Nutrition and climate change, Nutrition in relation to reproduction and fertility, Rumen biotechnology and clinical nutrition including Poultry nutrition. He received Merit Scholarship, ICAR-JRF, ICAR-SRF, Best outgoing student  award, Dr. ND Kehar  Award, Krishi  Shiromani Award, National Science Award, Academic Excellence Award, Fellow of Animal Nutrition Association, Fellow of Indian Poultry Science and many others state and national level awards.

He was Chairman of Feed Resource Group for Swiss Govt. aided Animal Husbandry Projects in the state of Chhattisgarh and Chairman of technical sessions of many International and National conferences. He was member of expert committee for the recruitment of scientists and Research and Management Positions in ICAR and Professors and other Officials in many Governmental Organizations  like Union Public  Service Commission,  Indian Agriculture  Universities and  State Public  Service Commission.

Dr. Tiwari has guided 22 M.V.Sc and 8 PhD students. He has published more than 150 research papers in peer reviewed National and International journals, more than 40 popular articles and 14 books in his credit. Dr. Tiwari is Editor of many National and International scientific Journals. He has presented 80 research papers in National and 50 in International conferences. He has handled 34  Research

Projects  as  Principal/Co Principal Investigator ofICAR – adhoc, ICAR-Network and ICAR-AICRP projects including NARP, NATP, RKVY, DBT, DST, NLM and Rashtriya Gokul Mission. Dr. Tiwari has more than 35 years of teaching and research experience and held different administrative posts at state and national level for more than 20 years.
